What would make the best blackout material?
Year 6 tested different materials to see how effective they were at blocking light. We discussed the importance of the material being opaque to protect civilians during the Blackout which began in September 1939. We placed a torch into a Pringles tube and laid different materials over the top, deciding if they were opaque, translucent, or transparent.
